Established in 1994 as Anzac Parade Physiotherapy, ES Physio has been serving the local community for over 25 years. Our mission is to offer our clients a clear diagnosis and help them to understand why their problem occurred, so it can be effectively managed and further injury prevented.

Our allied health professionals are experienced and hands-on, working in partnership with you for the duration of your treatment programme. Most importantly, with ES Physio, you have access to a range of disciplines – Exercise Physiology through to Remedial Massage – under one roof.

We understand the balance between Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology and how these two services combine to provide the best in evidence-based treatment for recovery of all injuries and chronic disease. About Me

I’m into:
Australian Rules Football, road cycling, mountaineering, rock climbing, running, swimming, outdoors, traveling, pranks, burgers and recently olympic weight lifting.

My Skills:
I completed my foundation studies in exercise science, human movement and exercise physiology.

I have 21yrs experience tailoring and programming exercise for a variety of individuals, I have worked with numerous elite professional athletes, the general public on health and fitness goals, and assisting patients with rehabilitation from surgery and/or disease. I myself have competed in road cycling at an elite level and understand the complex demands of competition and balancing all the facets of life for enhancing human performance.

Physiotherapy and mobility is my passion and I enjoy freeing joints and muscles from stiffness and restriction, I get great satisfaction from helping my clients understand their bodies better, improving their movement patterns, posture and returning to pain-free stable movement with the knowledge to maintain the gains.

I completed my studies at the University of Sydney with a Masters of Physiotherapy, as well as a Bachelor of Health Sciences, Human Movement.

I have worked with elite professional athletes, including two years in the physiotherapy team at the GWS Giants AFL Team. I also have experience working with the general public on their health and fitness goals, and assisting patients with rehabilitation from surgery and/or disease at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

I have played first grade rugby union for Brothers Rugby Club and understand the demands of high level competition, the extensive processes required to maintain fitness, prevent injuries and the hard work required to rehab and return to competition after numerous injuries.

I am so passionate about physiotherapy, I love my job, and I get great satisfaction from working with people and empowering them to understand their conditions and how to return to a pain free active lifestyle.

About Me

I’m into:
Playing soccer and basketball. I also enjoy going to the golf range, hiking, running, going to the beach, travelling and spending time with friends.

My Skills:
I graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology in 2016. During my time at university, I worked with a variety of clients with conditions including cardiorespiratory/metabolic, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. I abide by a holistic bio-psycho-social approach towards improving health – using evidence-based exercise programs, combining various forms of exercise in tandem with education, to not only improve health but also make exercise more enjoyable.

I have developed a keen interest in working with clients presenting with neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease from the year I spent at St Vincent’s Hospital doing stroke research.

As someone who has played sport for nearly my whole life, I have experienced a multitude of injuries and have a deep appreciation of what my patients are going through. I understand the benefits of graded exercise and rehabilitation in improving the overall quality of life. Seeing clients improve their level of independence and ability to manage their conditions gives me great satisfaction and pride in my work.

About Me

I’m into:
I love spending time in the sun, whether it be having a lie and reading, going for a swim, walking along the coast or having a picnic. I also really enjoy travelling and am always planning new places to explore, near and far. Having a background in dance I continue to enjoy doing ballet but also watching the ballet as well as musicals.

I am really passionate about helping others on their own journey to recovery. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, I am enthusiastic about the power of exercise in improving the management and prevention of chronic conditions that are highly prevalent in today’s society.

My Skills:
Graduating with a Bachelor’s of Exercise Physiology I have gained experience in working within a variety of settings amongst diverse populations with different conditions. I have experience in providing tailored exercise programs that are evidence-based, functional and holistic to treat cardiovascular and metabolic conditions (heart attacks, hypertension, diabetes), musculoskeletal conditions (osteoporosis, arthritis, injury rehabilitation), and neurological conditions (Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke etc.)

I am currently studying a Masters of Physiotherapy where I work in both hospital and private practice settings. Currently in my final year, I aim to continue to broaden my skill set and work experience to be as well rounded as I can be as an allied health professional.

About Me

I’m into:
Surfing, swimming, snowboarding, rugby league, touch footy, oztag, cricket, tennis, burgers (food in general) and all things beach and adventure.

My Skills:
I completed my Masters at the University of Technology Sydney after attaining a bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Wollongong. I’ve experienced both private and public health settings, ranging from Neurological Rehabilitation, to Intensive Care Unit to Sports Physiotherapy.

I’ve played just about every sport under the sun, but Rugby League and Surfing are my two favourites. Having been heavily involved in sports, I understand the drive to compete and what it takes to be able to perform at a high level. I’m fiercely competitive, and I carry this into my professional life, always looking to better myself and the care I deliver.

I’m stoked that I can have a positive impact on so many people’s health and lives by turning up and doing my job.

I’m into:
Being adventurous! I’ve always enjoyed a great hike and a huge fan of kayaking, paddle-boarding and fishing whenever I get the chance. My favourite sports to play are soccer, squash, a hit of golf, and more recently bouldering!

I love keeping the mind active with puzzles and a good laugh – an active brain is a happy one!

I’m into:
As a physio, I am interested in sports injuries including tennis elbow, knee injury, hamstring strain, shin splint, ankle sprain and so forth.
Apart from sports injuries, I also have a great passion for helping people to reduce the safety issues associated with working in labour-intensive industries, preventing injury as well as going people back to work quickly and safely.

In addition, I love helping the ageing population to improve daily function such as walking and going up and down stairs. Seeing old clients achieve a higher quality of life gives me significant satisfaction.

My Skills:
I completed my Master of physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Also, I got my bachelor degree in physiotherapy in China and I am a qualified physio in China as well.

I have experience in post-operation rehabilitation, sports injuries, aged care rehab. By doing placements in the hospitals in Sydney for 1 year, I built up my experience in tailoring exercise programmes specific to the patient’s condition and educating people to get a better understanding of their health problems.

As I am from China, bilingual is my strength obviously. For people who are from China or have a mandarin speaking background, I am more than happy to provide support to such clients to manage their health condition in Australia.

I’m into:
Group Exercise, ballet and swimming. I really enjoy being by the beach, travelling and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about studying physiotherapy as I am enthusiastic about helping people achieve their goals, reduce pain and improving movement and function for a positive impact on lifestyle, wellbeing and independence.

My Skills:

I studied Bachelor of Health Science and majored in Anatomy and Physiology before beginning my Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) studies at The University of Sydney in 2018.

I am currently working as administration staff and as a Physiotherapy Aide which has made me even more enthusiastic about holistic health and wellbeing and has given me an insight into the wide range of conditions that physiotherapists and exercise physiologists treat.

Adventuring away from the crowds and discovering and learning about new innovative ideas. Originally from the Central Coast, I love heading down to North Avoca beach when visiting home. I am a bit of a chatterbox and an energetic person who loves to keep a social and active mind.

I have been fortunate enough to be involved with the UTS Bats teams as a sports trainer.  I am also employed as a Hydrotherapy assistant in South Sydney.

Favourite Exercises:
My all-time favourite exercise is walking (or running) with the dog. I’m into:

HIIT training and circuit training. I also enjoy sprinting and coastal walks. I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, travelling around the world, dancing when I am out, trying new restaurants/bars and eating dessert.

Professionally I have developed a passion for the benefits of exercise in mental health conditions, as well as reducing stress, anxiety and depression. I am also interested in the effectiveness of high intensity interval training for fat loss and improving cardiovascular and metabolic health. I enjoy working with people to achieve their goals, improve their physical and mental health (look and feel good) and embark on a journey to live the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible.

As an Exercise Physiologist I’m passionate about decreasing the impact of prevalent health issues through effective exercise prescription, education and tailoring exercise programs to meet the individual needs of each client. My Skills:

Currently I specialise in exercise prescription and management of patients with various muscle and skeletal conditions commonly rehabilitation from musculoskeletal injuries. I also develop exercise programs for healthy populations who want to improve physique, fitness, strength, or overall exercise/sporting performance.

I have also had experience throughout my degree in exercise programming for chronic disease including Neurological rehab (MS, Stroke, Parkinson’s), Cardiovascular disease (Hypertension) and Metabolic diseases (Cancer, Diabetes).

I also have certification in Pilates Mat Work Level 1 from the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. This has provided me with the skills to offer Pilates to clients recovering from back pain and other injuries. As well as, provide postural education, correct movement patterning and body awareness.
